VF Horizontal strip of 3 on Cover. VERY RARE strip, with the right stamp missing the lower right corner. Accompanied by 2000 APEX Certificate which states "United States, Scott No 8A, used strip of three on cover, Plate 1E, Pos. 53-55L1E, genuine, cover torn, defective right stamp." WOW!!!!! A strip of 3 is not priced in Scott, but a pair plus a single would catalog $4100 plus the premium for being on cover. We estimate the retail value at around $3900. This is a duplicate of REC #1981, listed in the Certified and Graded and the 19th Century Used Categories. |
